Do you do formal appraisals?
No. We do a purchase evaluation: we look at your items so we can make an offer to buy them. A purchase evaluation is not a formal written appraisal for insurance, probate or tax purposes.
Is everything I bring worth selling?
Not always. Some coins are worth only their face value, and we tell you so plainly. You decide what to sell and what to take home.
Do I need an appointment?
Yes. Our hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, by appointment. Call or request an evaluation and we will set a time with you.
Can you come to me?
Yes. Besides our Lowell shop, we offer home appointments, or we can meet at a secure location such as your bank. Say which you prefer when you call or in the request form.
Can I send photos first?
Yes. The evaluation request form takes up to four photos. Clear, close photos of both sides show us what you have when we call you back.
What should I bring?
A photo ID, the items you want to sell, and any holders, boxes, certificates or paperwork that came with them. Ask how payment works when you book.
Do you buy gold jewelry?
Yes. We buy gold jewelry and scrap gold, including broken chains, bent rings and single earrings. We weigh gold where you can see it.
Do you buy foreign coins?
Yes. We look at foreign coins alongside U.S. coins, whether they are gold, silver or base metal.
Should I clean my coins before I bring them?
No. Cleaning can lower a coin's collector value and cannot be undone. Bring coins as they are, in the holders they are in now.
